5 Ways to Grow Your Twitter Reach:

#1: Follow Twitter Basics

Before you do anything else, be sure you understand a few Twitter fundamentals. You can increase your tweet exposure with just a few tweaks:
·        Don’t start tweets with @username. Starting a tweet with @username restricts its visibility to only you, the person you’re tweeting and any mutual followers. Your reach is automatically cut short!
  • Don’t use more than three hashtags in any one tweet. Too many hashtags in a tweet makes it look spammy and reduces your tweet’s shareability.
  • Don’t over-tweet about yourself or your products. The 80/20 rule applies on all social platforms. The 80/20 rule means you spend 80% of the time interacting with and promoting others and 20% of the time promoting yourself and your products.
  • Provide as much value as you can. Listen to your followers and the people you follow. What are their pain points? How can you solve those? When you share relevant, interesting tweets (without over-promoting), people see you as an expert and may recommend you to others as an important resource.

#2: Promote Your Twitter Profile Everywhere

Use your other social profiles to tell people about your Twitter handle. Add your Twitter username to the About or Contact sections of Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and any other social profiles you use.
On your website or blog, be sure you have social sharing buttons to make it easy for readers to tell others about your content.
Plugins make it simple to install and customize sharing options and expand your reach by adding via @yourusername every time someone tweets content from your site. This simple customization gets your Twitter handle in front of hundreds of users you may not have reached otherwise.

#3: Cross-Promote Your Giveaways

Giveaways always drive more traffic, visibility and engagement. Take advantage of that by creating a Q&A giveaway that requires entrants to give their answers by tagging you on Twitter and using a specific hashtag.
The hashtag is easy to track and ensures you don’t miss part of the conversation. Requiring users to tag your @username ensures a wider audience sees your handle. Be sure to engage with any users who respond or use the hashtag—it’s just good etiquette and you’ll reach even more people.
When you’re ready to promote your giveaway, post the question to all of your social accounts. Start with the platform that has the most engagement, then share across your other social profiles. Don’t forget to share on Twitter!

#4: Interact With Niche Influencers

Whether you’re offline or online, networking is a tried-and-true method for extending your reach. If you haven’t started networking on Twitter, now’s the time.
If you’re truly listening on Twitter, you’ll be able to tell who the influencers are in your niche—those are the people with whom you want to establish a relationship. Remember, the influencers don’t have to be national in scope, they can be important locals as well (e.g., the newspaper editor or local newscasters).
Start a Twitter conversation with a few of the influencers in your niche and add as much value to the conversation as you can. The more interesting you are, the more likely it is that an influencer will respond to or spread your message.
The Fort Collins, CO band @FierceBad has a modest 683 followers, but has established a relationship with the amazingly popular @newbelgium (New Belgium Brewing, also in Fort Collins). When Fierce Bad released a new video, New Belgium Brewing tweeted it out to their 187,500 fans—quite a bit bigger audience.
#5: Find Allies in an Online Community
If you think you’re alone in trying to build Twitter exposure, think again! There are lots of communities for people just like you who want to network.
These communities are generally built around niches, so it’s easy to find one where members share your interests. Shared interests mean it’s easier to find good content to send out to your followers (remember the 80/20 rule!). Since sharing is usually (but not always) reciprocal, you’re benefitting too.
Most online communities are free to join and welcome new members with open arms. Here are 10 communities you can join to increase your exposure on Twitter:
·        BizSugar
·        Blokube
·        DoSplash
·        Klinkk
·        Inbound.org
·        List.ly
·        ManageWP.org
·        Social Buzz Club
·        The Writers Social
·        Triberr

You’ll find that many serious marketers have a strong presence in multiple online communities like these because they realize the overall value. Joining the same communities allows you to connect with those influencers (and expand your Twitter reach) on a larger scale.

Follow  your  other   Tips for Twitter
========================================================================

Twitter can be used not only for building your audience, but also for expanding your knowledge and interacting with fellow industry members. Here are 7 practices I find are necessary to build a larger Twitter following.
1. Build your profile
Twitter gives you the option to edit your profile. Picture, name, location, website, and a 160 character bio are all bits about yourself you can include on your page. It’s important to use your real picture, name, and location. People won’t follow you if they don’t know who you are! Adding your real location gives users the option of connecting in similar areas. Adding your website or blog obviously connects your twitter to your other endeavors. The 160 character bio gives people a sneak peak into what you stand for. It’s not as big as the ‘About Me’ section on your site so be selective with what you put.
Being witty and creative while maintaining professionalism will draw people in! Give it a try.
2. Use #hashtags
Twitter lets you use hashtags (which are basically words following hashmarks – #) in your tweets as keywords by which people can search for content. Say you write something related to photography that you think is really interesting and relevant. If someone is specifically searching for tweets related to photography, they search for #photography instead of just “photography”. If you want your tweet to pop up when people search for a specific term or idea, make it a hashtag!
Following interesting content with hashtags makes it easier to find you in a sea of millions of tweets!
3. Connect, connect, and connect some more
You blog, you tweet, you update your website. Well, connecting all of the different platforms you use will increase your following. Someone who was reading your blog will be able to find you through it on twitter and follow you. Twitter offers various buttons and widgets that you can put on your website. You can even link your twitter to other social media platforms that you may use. Facebook, Linkedin, Flickr, Youtube, etc.
The more you connect your twitter to the rest of your online presence, the more people will be able to find you and follow you!
4. Interact with others
First and foremost, Twitter is a real-time information network. Users ask and answer questions, comment, and share knowledge. Listening in and learning from what others are saying is a great way to start using and getting a feel for Twitter. But taking the plunge into interacting with others will really build your presence on the network and gain followers. The basic ways to interact with other tweeps are by using @mentions, retweets (RT), and replies.
Type the symbol @ before another user’s handle to directly reach that person (example @esveegroup). They can hit ‘reply’ and answer you back, creating a mini conversation that pops up once you hit the tweet itself. You can also RT a tweet that you find really interesting.
Having a good balance between these interactions and sharing your own handy information makes you a well-rounded tweep! You will be loads more searchable and accessible for others to find you.
5. Primetime Tweeting
You will want to be strategic in the timing of your tweets to get the optimal potential for views. The prime time tweeting and viewing hours for businesses will be on weekdays in the late morning to early evening portion of the day, aka work hours! What you don’t want to do is tweet tweet tweet in the middle of the night or weekends. Your posts will be drowned by the time people open up their streams for viewing. Another thing you don’t want to do is tweet 5, 6, 7 times in a row and nothing the rest of the time.
How do we tackle this problem? Sometimes we only have a limited time to devote to twitter and finding what to share. After all, you can’t sit and wait to tweet in the proper intervals. Or you can, but that would be a major waste of time because there are services that let you schedule all of your tweets! My personal favorite is Hootsuite. Create an account (its free!), link your Twitter to it, and schedule away! Post in 10 minutes? Sure. 10 hours? Okay. 10 days? Well, make sure its not old news by then!
The point is, timing your tweets the right way will ensure that others will see what you post, because that’s the whole point of Twitter anyway, isn’t it?
6. Engage your followers
Nobody wants to follow someone boring. Posting interesting and relevant content is obviously necessary, you should be doing it anyway if you want others to follow you. But there are other ways to spice up your Twitter presence too. Contests, polls, surveys, etc are not only engaging to your followers but also informative and useful to you! By setting up something like these, you will draw users in. “Our 100th follower will get 2 free hours of consultation” or offering coupons for existing followers are simple and fun ways to get noticed!
Here is an amazing website that offers products that promote businesses through social media that will without a doubt engage your audience and build your following!
7. Participate in Twitter chats
Twitter chats are scheduled conversations held on Twitter to talk about basically anything using an agreed upon #hashtag. Participating in a chat is the next step to really getting the most out of the platform. There is a chat about almost any topic, and if not, you can easily start one up! These chats really connect you to other users who are obviously interested in what you are interested in. You get to learn new things, meet and interact with new people, and gain some followers!
Read this article that tells you everything you need to know about running a successful Twitter chat, that also includes a link to existing chats!  for example  use   "http://tweetchat.com/"

Content & Search Engine Success Factors

Content & Search Engine Success Factors:

Content is king. You’ll hear that phrase over and over again when it comes SEO success. Indeed, that’s why the Periodic Table Of SEO Success Factors begins with the content “elements,” with the very first element being about content quality.
Get your content right, and you’ve created a solid foundation to support all of your other SEO efforts.

Cq: Content Quality

More than anything else, are you producing quality content? If you’re selling something, do you go beyond being a simple brochure with the same information that can be found on hundreds of other sites?
Do you provide a reason for people to spend more than a few seconds reading your pages?
Do you offer real value, something of substance to visitors, that is unique, different, useful and that they won’t find elsewhere?
These are just some of the questions to ask yourself in assessing whether you’re providing quality content. This is not the place to skimp since it is the cornerstone upon which nearly all other factors depend.

Cr: Content Research / Keyword Research

Perhaps the most important SEO factor after creating good content is good keyword research. There are a variety of tools that allow you to discover the specific ways that people may be searching for your content.
You want to create content using those keywords, the actual search terms people are using, so you can produce content that effectively “answers” that query.
For example, a page about “Avoiding Melanoma” might use technical jargon to describe ways to prevent skin cancer. But a search engine might skip or not rank that page highly if people are instead searching for “skin cancer prevention tips”. Your content needs to be written in the right ‘language’ – the language your customer or user is using when searching.

Cw: Content Words / Use Of Keywords

Having done your keyword research (you did that, right?), have you actually used those words in your content? Or if you’ve already created some quality content before doing research, perhaps it’s time to revisit that material and do some editing.
Bottom line, if you want your pages to be found for particular words, it’s a good idea to actually use those words in your copy.
How often? Repeat each word you want to be found for at least five times or seek out a keyword density of 2.45%, for best results.
No no no, that was a joke! There’s no precise number of times. Even if “keyword density” sounds scientific, even if you hit some vaunted “ideal” percentage, that would guarantee absolutely nothing.
Just use common sense. Think about the words you want a page to be found for, the words you feel are relevant from your keyword research. Then use them naturally on the page. If you commonly shift to pronouns on second and further references, maybe use the actual noun again here and there, rather than a pronoun.

Cf: Content Freshness

Search engines love new content. That’s usually what we mean when we say ‘fresh’.
So you can’t update your pages (or the publish date) every day thinking that will make them ‘fresh’ and more likely to rank. Nor can you just add new pages constantly, just for the sake of having new pages, and think that gives you a freshness boost.
However, Google does have something it calls “Query Deserved Freshness (QDF)”. If there’s a search that is suddenly very popular versus its normal activity, Google will apply QDF to that term and look to see if there’s any fresh content on that topic. If there is, that new or fresh content is given a boost in search results.
The best way to think about this is a term like ‘hurricane’. If there’s no active hurricane, then the search results will likely contain listings to government and reference sites. But if there’s an active hurricane, results will change and may reflect stories, news and information about the active hurricane.
If you’ve got the right content, on the right topic when QDF hits, you may enjoy being in the top results for days or weeks. Just be aware that after that, your page might be shuffled back in search results. It’s not that you’ve done anything wrong. It’s just that the freshness boost has worn off.
Sites can take advantage of this freshness boost by producing relevant content that matches the real-time pulse of their industry.

Cv: Vertical Search

The other factors on this table cover success for web page content in search engines. But alongside these web page listings are also often “vertical” results. These come from “vertical” search engines devoted to things like images, news, local and video. If you have content in these areas, it might be more likely to show up within special sections of the search results page.
Not familiar with “vertical search” versus “horizontal search?” Let’s take Google as an example. Its regular search engine gathers content from across the web, in hopes of matching many general queries across a broad range of subjects. This is horizontal search, because the focus is across wide range of topics.
Google also runs specialized search engines that focus on images or news or local content. These are called vertical search engines because rather than covering a broad range of interests, they’re focused on one segment, a vertical slice of the overall interest spectrum.
When you search on Google, you’ll get web listings. But you’ll also often get special sections in the results (which Google calls “OneBoxes”) that may show vertical results as deemed relevant.
Having content that performs well in vertical search can help you succeed when your web page content doesn’t. It can also help you succeed in addition to having a web page make the top results. So, make sure you’re producing content in key vertical areas relevant to you. For more information, see some of our related categories:

Ca: Direct Answers

Search engines are increasing trying to show direct answers within their search results. Questions like “why is the sky blue” or “how old is Barack Obama” might give you the answer without needing to click to a web page.
Where do search engines get these answers? Sometimes, they license them, such as with menus or music lyrics. Other times, they draw them directly off web pages, providing a link back in the form of a credit.
There’s some debate over whether having your content being used as a direct answer is a success or not. After all, if someone gets the answer they need, they might not click, and what’s the success in that?
We currently consider sites being used as direct answer sources to be a success for two main reasons. First, it’s a sign of trust, which can help a site for other types of queries. Second, while there’s concern, there’s also some evidence that being a direct answer can indeed send traffic.

Increase Your Facebook Reach Without Spending Money

8 Ways To  Increase Your Facebook Reach Without Spending Money:
1. Create Awesome Content
This is the first and foremost thing you should think about. Awesome and compelling content that talks directly to your customers, fans, and audience is the best thing you can do. But it does require a strategy. I think the best way to have something to share is to
blog, take photos, and create an online persona. When you have great content on your website and other online sites, it's easier to have something of VALUE to share.
2. Embed Your Posts
It is likely that your audience is hanging out all over the web and not only on Facebook. You can extend the reach of your Facebook post by embedding that post on your blog. This will get your Facebook posts in front of your website viewers and allow them to interact with your
 Facebook content off Facebook.
3. Encourage Likes & Shares
The way Facebook algorithm works, the more liked and commented on your Facebook post is the more eyeballs it will reach. One easy way to get something important out is to encourage your fans to like it or share it with their network.   You can only do that with really great content.  If the content is good, people will like it.  But
don't ask for likes or shares, this could actually hurt you.  If you've done a good job building a relationship with your fans you will see that this will be easy to achieve.
4. Ask Your Fans To Receive Notifications
Have you ever noticed that you get notifications from your top friends? Did you know that you can receive the same type of notifications from Fan pages? It's true and a lot of people don't know this is possible. To get notifications on Fan page content, hover over the "Like" image on and click notifications. Once you do that, every time that page is updated you will get an instant notification. There's nothing wrong with asking your fans to do the same for your Fan page. Again, if you have the relationship built, share awesome content and don't over post, your fans will be happy to do this. After all, they want to see your notifications, right?
5. Give Reasons To Comment
Commenting is one of the best ways to increase the eyeballs on your content. Try to kick off each post with a comment from the Fan page and your personal page to get the conversation going. We also give this advice to our blogging clients. It is also a good idea to ask questions or give incentives to increase commenting. Both of these tactics work, and I recommend you try it.
6. Mix Up Your Content
The common thought used to be that every post should have an image attached. While this is a good tactic because it has a longer shelf-life, it is smart to mix it up. Links now show up on News Feeds the same size of images which increases the click-through.
7. Become a Content Curator
Again, it all comes back to great content. When you have great content to share, more people are going to tune in. Share articles, images, and videos that will keep your fans coming back for more. The more often one person connects with your content will determine how often they see your content. Be targeted with your content and your true and loyal fans will love it!
8. Create Fan Page Relationships
There are a few ways to go about this. One way is to share other fan page content. Because everyone is sharing the content of huge publications and brands, you might want to think about targeting middle sized fan pages instead as they will notice it more. When you give love to other Fan pages, they will likely return the favor and share your content. You can also tag pages within your posts. The other Fan page will see your tag and hopefully be happy. In order to build a successful relationship you have to think about this. You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. It's a two way street people!
Of course, every audience is different and not everything is going to work for you. But in business it is all about experimenting and figuring out what works for you.

Instead, your business needs to focus on which tools can improve what you are already doing on social media currently. When you do that, you have a much better chance of using the right social media management tool for your business.
