What is Hastag ?
Ans:
A hashtag is created by
including the symbol “#” in front of a word or words without spaces. A hashtag is
a label used on social media sites that makes it easier to find information
with a theme or specific content. Associations can use hashtags to
reach their target audience and to help members filter information.
Why do we use
hashtag?
Ans:
hashtag: A word or phrase
preceded by a hash mark (#), used within a message to identify a keyword or
topic of interest and facilitate a search for it. Whenever a user adds a hashtag to
their post, it's able to be indexed by the social network and becomes
searchable/discoverable by other users.
What is the purpose of the
hashtag in social media?
A hashtag is a keyword or
phrase preceded by the hash symbol (#), that people include in their social
media posts. Essentially, it makes the content of your post accessible
to all people with similar interests, even if they're not your followers or
fans.
Facebook also graciously
offered these 3 usage tips for the hashtag:
1. Search
for a specific hashtag from your search bar.
2. Click
on hashtags that originate on other services, such as Instagram.
3. Compose
posts directly from the hashtag feed and search results.
Twitter Tips for using
hashtags:
·
You cannot add spaces or punctuation in a hashtag, or it will not
work properly.
·
If you Tweet with a hashtag on a public account, anyone who does a
search for that hashtag may find your Tweet.
·
We recommend using no more than 2 hashtags per Tweet as best practice,
but you may use as many hashtags in a Tweet as you like.
·
Type a hashtagged keyword in the search bar to discover content
and accounts based on your interests.
